Marcus Bell is a multi-award winning and highly acclaimed photographer with a passion for grand landscapes and storytelling through photography. Powerful and emotive, his work speaks to human connections – connections to nature, to each other and to our own histories and human spirit.
Pushing the boundaries of landscape, documentary and wedding photography with fearless originality, his creative and distinctive images have propelled this Brisbane-based photographer onto the international scene having been invited to photograph Governors, sporting legends and International Artists while his landscape photography has featured in several exhibitions.
In addition to his many accolades, American Photo Magazine listed Marcus as one of the top 10 wedding photographers in the world.
With other cameras it’s easy to feel like it is just a box that lets light in – a tool to get a job done with a distinct lack of connection to the creative process. Picking up a Leica, there’s that feeling the camera is going to aid in the discovery of creating something new. It’s something that inspires you to create. For me, it certainly feels like a different process than I’ve experienced in recent years. A process that I’m absolutely loving. A process that is bringing so much joy to creating again and again.
